Something Done Something New

School starts back up for me this coming Monday but I have had a very productive 2 weeks off. I finished the Hallowig knitting project I was working on,

I started a new Afghan project as part of my de-stashing efforts

put together a kitchen window treatment I purchased fabric for about 6 months ago,

and tried to finish that Irish Chain quilt I posted about a few months back but decided it would go in the UFO pile due to some difficulties I just couldn’t stress over, I may never finish that one and that’s a shame too because it was really nice and the supplies were expensive. I think my talents remain with knitting and spinning.

I have also been working on my Ravelry site; I’m “littlehouse” over there. I’ve actually been there since last June but didn’t have the time to really do anything with it till now. So I have done a needle and fiber inventory so far, even though I have way more needles than are on their little chart, and I’m not quite finished with the yarn inventory yet. It turns out I have more than I thought I did, surprised? I will be posting a lot more pictures of finished projects, yarn stash, and books as soon as they allow direct upload or Picasa as an option. Anyway I’m being selective as to which photos I post because of the limited photo options. Even though I have spent a LARGE amount of time over there, Ravelry has been good for me because I am getting all my yarn and projects organized, and a de-stashing plan is beginning to take shape.

I know what you mean about spending large amounts of time over at Ravelry!, I've been organizing quite a bit of my yarn and projects over there during the last couple of months myself.

It's truly amazing how the stash grows out of all proportion when you actually try to take inventory.

I too love your Hallowig. The color is faboo! I keep meaning to make one but haven't done it yet. I have added it to my queue on Ravelry! so maybe I will get to it eventually.
